What to bring
This is a summer event in Scotland so be sure to bring:
- Warm clothes, waterproofs and decent footwear – wellies are ideal as it’s quite muddy!
- Midge Repellent
- We’ll be camping so bring a tent, sleeping bag, torch and roll mat. There are a limited number of beds available, but please get in touch in advance if you require one
- All your pals – show solidarity with Douglas Valley communities by bringing as many people with you as possible!
There will be a £20 suggested donation for attending the camp. This is to cover the cost of food and some of the cost of putting on the event. The requested £20 is only a suggested donation, and if you can’t afford this then please come to the event and pay what you can, or if you can contribute more please do.
Hot vegan food will be served throughout the camp, so you won’t need to bring any of your own. If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know. There will be a kitchen rota at the event so the cooking can be shared by all participants.
Children are very welcome at the camp! Please let us know in advance if you are bringing children along to help us prepare the kids’ space.
We’re keen to limit the number of dogs coming to the camp – please leave them at home if you can. However, if this means you wont be able to come to the camp then please get in touch in advance, and we can try to sort something out.
There will be trained first aiders on hand at the camp. However, this is a physical, outdoors event and so it is up to everyone to be aware of their own limits and act safely to avoid injury.
